Viagra soft starts to work in 15-20 minutes, but the maximum result is observed after 1-1.5 hours. The effect of the medication lasts about 5 hours.

An erection does not occur spontaneously. For its manifestation, sexual stimulation is necessary. Therefore, do not worry that an erection will occur in an improper situation. After sexual intercourse, the penis relaxes, but with new sexual stimulation, an erection appears again.

How to take Viagra Soft?

Contraindications

Considering contraindications when taking Viagra Soft, it is important to know that this drug is prohibited for use with:

• intolerance or hypersensitivity to the drug composition;
• rehabilitation after a heart attack or stroke, with diseases of the oncological, endocrine, cardiovascular spectra, at the time of treatment with alpha-blockers and nitrates, with indications for limited physical (including sexual) stress;
• the use of other drugs for erectile dysfunction or taking drugs that dilate blood vessels;
• penile deformities;
• hereditary degenerative diseases of the retina, liver/renal failure, hypotension.

The product is contraindicated for minors, as well as for older men (over 65 years old) and women. During the application, you must strictly adhere to the instructions for use.

Side effects

In clinical studies conducted in different countries, Viagra was used in more than 3,700 patients (aged 19 to 87). Over 550 patients received care for more than one year. Viagra tolerance was good. In placebo-controlled clinical trials, the frequency of therapy discontinuation due to adverse events was low and comparable to that with placebo. Side effects were usually transient and mild or moderate. In studies of any design, the nature of side effects in patients receiving Viagra Soft was similar. In fixed-dose studies, the incidence of side effects becomes higher with the dose increase.

In clinical trials, with individual dose selection, the following side effects were most often found:

• cardiovascular – headache, hot flashes, dizziness;
• digestive system – dyspepsia;
• respiratory system – nasal congestion;
• sensory organs – a change in vision (slight and transient; mainly a change in the color of objects, as well as increased perception of light and a violation of vision clarity).

When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended, adverse events were similar to those noted above but were usually more common. There are no cases of priapism.

Overdose

In studies in healthy volunteers with a single drug dose up to 800 mg, side effects were comparable to those when taking Viagra in lower doses, but were more common. In case of an overdose, standard symptomatic measures must be taken. Dialysis should not accelerate sildenafil clearance since the latter actively binds to plasma proteins. It is not excreted in the urine.

Precautions

Drugs intended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction should be used with caution in patients with penile anatomical deformation (for example, angulation, cavernous fibrosis or Peyronie’s disease) and in people suffering from diseases that predispose to the development of priapism (such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma or leukemia).

Viagra Soft should not be prescribed to men for whom sexual activity is prohibited. The safety and effectiveness of Viagra Soft in combination with other drugs created to treat erectile dysfunction have not been studied. In this regard, the use of such combinations is not recommended.

Viagra soft does not affect bleeding time, including when prescribed in combination with aspirin. In vitro studies of human platelets indicate that sildenafil enhances the antiaggregatory effect of sodium nitroprusside (nitric oxide donor). There is no information on the safety of Viagra in patients with diseases accompanied by bleeding or exacerbation of peptic ulcer. In this regard, in such patients, Viagra soft should be used with caution.

A small number of patients with hereditary retinitis pigmentosa have hereditary disorders of retinal phosphodiesterase activity. There is no information on the safety of this ED drug in patients with retinitis pigmentosa. In this regard, in such patients, Viagra should be used with caution.

Pregnancy and lactation

Viagra Soft is not intended for use in women. During reproductive studies in rats and rabbits were revealed that oral administration of sildenafil did not exert a teratogenic effect. It did not affect reproductive function and not cause peri/postnatal development of the fetus and newborn. A single intake of Viagra orally at a dose of 100 mg in healthy volunteers was not accompanied by a change in sperm motility or morphology.
